KATERINA MUNIS is an award-winning film writer, director and XR innovator. She holds an MFA in Film & Television Production from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts and her bachelor's in Classics & the Ancient Near East. Katerina was the Director of Productions at XR Stage, an immersive film & TV studio.

Katerina is a 2025 Russo Brothers' Filmmaker Fellow, 2025 McKnight Media Artist Fellow, 2025 Moonshot Feature Accelerator Fellow, 2024 Next List Screenwriter, 2024 ScreenCraft Screenwriting Fellow, 2025 Stowe Labs Genre Fellowship finalist, and Academy Awards Nicholls finalist.

Katerina's directorial debut Daedalus was awarded grants from FOX, XR studios, and USC Scholarship. Daedalus received myriad "Best Director" and "Best Film" awards during its international festival circuit, including the 2024 TELLY for "Best Director" in an immersive world. Daedalus was featured in the AMPAV "Emerging Filmmaker Showcase" at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.
