Artist
Katerina Munis is an award-winning film writer/director and XR innovator, specializing in new media and immersive production. She holds an MFA in Film & Television Production from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts and her bachelor's in Classics & the Ancient Near East. Katerina was the Director of Productions at XR Stage, an immersive film & TV studio.

Katerina is distinguished as a 2025 Russo Brothers' directing fellow, 2025 McKnight Foundation screenwriting fellow, 2025 Moonshot Accelerator feature fellow, 2024 Next List screenwriter, 2024 ScreenCraft Screenwriting fellow, 2025 Stowe Labs selected screenwriter, and Academy Awards Nicholls fellowship finalist.

Katerina's directorial debut, Daedalus, was captured using immersive XR and awarded grants from Fox and USC scholarship. Daedalus received myriad "Best Director" and "Best Film" awards during its international festival circuit, including the 2024 TELLY for "Best Director" in an immersive world. Daedalus was featured in AMPAV's "Emerging Filmmaker Showcase" at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.
As a passionate historian and new media artist, Katerina innovates at the nexus of mythic storytelling & cutting-edge technology, driven by creative endeavors that ignite the spirit & enthrall the imagination.
